They Hays Police Department created the Police Department Recruitment Team in 2018. The recruitment team attended Police Recruiter training and was formally assigned the responsibility of specific recruiting functions. Minimum Qualifications

  • 21 years of age (at date of hire)
  • US Citizen
  • High School Diploma or GED (College Preferred)
  • Good Physical Condition
  • No Felony or Domestic Violence Convictions
  • Must Possess a Valid Driver's License
  • A Background Suitable to a Career in Law Enforcement
