The City of Hays Service Division maintains approximately 106 miles of streets and 110 miles of alleys. This Division is responsible for snow clearing, flood structure maintenance, street sweeping, composting activities, fleet maintenance, maintenance of street signs and signals, and compost operations. Their administrative offices are located at 1002 Vine Street, immediately east of the Water Treatment Plant, and can be reached at (785)628-7353.
