How Do I Register To Vote?
Voter registration applications are available on this web site. Go to the Voter Registration Application and complete all information, print, sign and mail to the Ellis County Clerks Office, PO Box 720, Hays, Kansas 67601 or call 785-628-9410. Voter Registration Applications must contain an original signature and cannot be faxed.
This application must be postmarked no later than the 15th day prior to any election in order to be eligible to vote. The last four (4) digits of your social security number are requested. Your county election officer will mail you a notice when your application has been processed.

How Do I Update or Change My Voter Registration?
If you change your name or address, or wish to change your party affiliation, you are required to update your voter registration. Go to the Voter Registration Application and complete all information, print, sign and mail to the Ellis County Clerks Office, PO Box 720, Hays, Kansas 67601 - 785-628-9410. One can also change registration information at a variety of other Registration Locations located throughout the county. A Provisional Ballot can also be obtained if you are already registered at a different location or name.
When Can I Register?
If you are 18 years old on or before the Election Day, you may register to vote at any time. However, voter registration closes 15 days prior to an Election day
