The Public Works Department is responsible for snow removal, solid waste collection, flood structure maintenance, street and alley maintenance, water meter reading and installation, maintenance of street signs and signals, water distribution, sanitary sewer line maintenance, water and wastewater treatment plants, fleet services, buildings and grounds, building inspection, code enforcement, and city planning issues. Their administrative offices are located at 1002 Vine, immediately east of the Water Treatment Plant, and can be reached at 628-7350.
