The Human Resources Department is responsible for administering employee benefit programs, policies and procedures, recruitment and selection, grievance procedures, evaluations and all personnel records and files for approximately 165 full-time employees and 25 part-time/seasonal employees.
When a personnel vacancy occurs, the open position is advertised in the local newspaper, posted with the local Division of Employment office, and with a variety of other publications and postings dependent upon the nature of the open position. Applications are accepted for open positions only. The Human Resources Department and the department supervisor screen candidates and conduct employment interviews after the closing date. Applicants for select positions may be required to take an entrance examination and/or physical agility test.

Random drug and alcohol testing is performed on employees holding safety sensitive positions.
