Hays' international award-winning microbrewery and restaurant occupies four renovated storefronts in the Chestnut Street District of downtown Hays. Since opening in 2005, the brewery has earned six medals from the prestigious Great American Beer Festival including Gold for Lb.'s Oatmeal Stout (2008) and back-to-back Golds for Lb.'s Liberty Stout (2009-2010). Lb. Brewing Co. also netted international Gold at the 2010 World Beer Cup for its Oatmeal Stout. Shelter magazines including House & Garden, Cottage Living, Renovation Style and Romantic Homes have taken note of the brewery and diner's dιcor, which pays homage to Kansas's rural heritage in a chic, updated style. Gella's unique menu offering local fare, also received notice from BonAppetit.com.
